Hello! I’m Josh, a Head of Mathematics at a successful Secondary school in Bromley and an experienced online tutor specialising in GCSE and A-level Mathematics, including Further Maths. I’ve been doing this for 8 years, and I’ve found joy in simplifying tricky math concepts.
Why online tutoring? I believe it offers flexibility and convenience. You can learn from the comfort of your space and at your pace. However, I do require students to have a graphics tablet to make our virtual lessons interactive and effective.
My teaching style is adaptable. Whether you’re building a strong math foundation or delving into advanced areas, I’ll tailor the sessions to your needs.
I value practical learning, where questions are encouraged, and challenges are tackled head-on. From algebra through statistics, my mission is to empower you not just to understand math, but to feel confident applying it.
Let’s partner up in this maths journey. Your success matters, and I’m here to support you every step of the way!
Subject area specialisms:
- GCSE Mathematics: Higher tier and Foundation tier
- GCSE Statistics (Edexcel exam board)
- A level Mathematics (my school use the OCR MEI exam board but I would feel comfortable tutoring any exam board)

NHS Doctor with over 10 years of experience studying and completing exams and over 7 years teaching Maths, Biology and Chemistry for KS3, GCSE and A Level. My tuition approach is listed below.
Each lesson begins with a run-through of the topic and explanation of key concepts with opportunities for pupils to ask questions. Students are then provided with high yield exam questions and worksheets to complete. Questions are then marked together to highlight areas of strength and areas of improvement. An emphasis is always maintained on exam technique during each lesson. Assessments to determine student improvement are provided every 4-6 weeks.
All students are taught how to study effectively using two evidence-based study techniques:
1) Active Recall - Here students create useful revision questions to test their memory of certain topics
2) Spaced Repetition - Here students are taught how to strategically review topics regularly and boost their chances of remembering important exam content throughout the year and leading up to exams.
My classes are always tailored with a personalised programme for each and every student and remain friendly and engaging. All resources including specialised notes for each exam board, revision questions and exam question related to the tutees exam board are provided free of charge. Tuition goes beyond the `hour slot` as students are able to contact me via phone, email and tutor hunt messaging. I also remain engaged with the lesson and do not `clock-watch`.
For 2023, I now have a team of dedicated tutors offering tailored approaches to tuition. Please get in touch if you have any questions or preference for female tutors as this can be organised too.
Thank you for all enquiries currently, we are organising classes as soon as possible.
Spring an Summer Booster Courses will be available upon request.

I originally trained and worked as a secondary school English teacher, but I found the pressure in schools led to teachers being overwhelmed with paperwork and the teaching element almost became a lesser priority. Now I prefer to focus on private tuition where my primary aim is teaching and enabling students to achieve. At Perfect Plus Tutoring, we strive to create an academic atmosphere which is enjoyable as well as beneficial. I offer private tuition to students in North Kent, Medway and Maidstone areas.
I have a team of tutors who are all DBS checked and either currently teach or have taught in schools.

I have a great deal of experience as a tutor. I have been working at one of the UK's leading Grammar Schools for the past four years. I tutor maths GCSE and A level online. I have also conducted numerous online webinars/ webclasses and drop-in sessions for students across the country for A Level maths. I love to make maths engaging. I am a hardworking and enthusiastic teacher who is consistently seeking to improve my own performance and I take responsibility for my own professional development. I do this by taking advantage of all opportunities made available to me and using my initiative to create further opportunities that will help to develop my knowledge and understanding. I am always seeking feedback about my performance at school and in the classroom and I always reflect and respond to advice and feedback given.
I believe that it is important to use activities such as Circle Time and Philosophy for Children and role-play (drama) to build moral courage in children to respond to incidents that may happen in and out of the school environment. Building respect for others in children, and in adults, must be an ongoing concern as it takes time to move hearts as well as minds.
I have a real passion for ensuring that children are given an opportunity to learn through real and meaningful first-hand experiences that are relevant to their interests and their needs. On all of my teaching experiences I have built strong relationships with my pupils by taking time to talk to them, discover what interests them and is important to them and I have then used that information to help them in their learning by making lessons relevant and purposeful.
My aim through my teaching is to ensure that every child leaves my classroom with a buzz of excitement about their learning, which stays with them on their journey home and sticks in their memory.
It is my belief that life is a learning journey. I think that it is important for teachers and pupils to be co-learners in and out of the classroom and I believe that this leads to a mutual respect between adults and children. I also feel that through children seeing that their teachers are still learning and can make mistakes, it means the children will be more willing to make mistakes of their own. It is important in the primary classroom for children to feel confident to participate even if they are not always getting things right. Children learn most when they are motivated and when they are in an environment where they feel it is safe to fail. My own classroom ethos is reflected in the words of Samuel Smiles, “He who has never made a mistake never made a discovery.
I believe classrooms are fun when the learning is meaningful, when the ethos is positive and when you know that you are valued and that the contributions that you make, as adult or child, can make a difference.
Neil Simco reminded us that how we are with children will stay with them for the rest of their lives. Each moment that we spend with our children is so important because they can never have that moment again. Everything that I do as a teacher means so much to each and every child that I teach. I know that these children may take something of what I have said, what I have taught them and use it someday, in a way that will truly make a difference to them in their lives.
Progression needs to be planned for, so that as children work and explore at their own pace, there is always something else ready to move them on and take them further in their learning. I also believe that differentiation and meeting varied learning styles are key to effective teaching and learning.

Helloooo! I'm Revant, a soon-to-be analyst at a top investment bank. I've previously worked at top US law firms and dream companies (yes, including Apple and Google!). With strong communication and analytical skills, I'm here to make learning math fun and easy.
I've represented India in International Mathematics Olympiads for four years straight (pretty cool, right?) and scored A* in both GCSEs and A-Levels in Math. I'm excited to share my quick tips and thorough understanding of math with you.
I'm super friendly and adopt a relaxed teaching style to make sure you really get it. Plus, I speak Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi, so if you're more comfortable in those languages, let's connect!
When I'm not crunching numbers, you can find me running marathons or jamming on my electric guitar in a band. So, if you want to learn guitar or just chat, I'm here for that too :)
Can't wait to help you reach your goals and maybe even land some amazing roles like I have!

As mentioned, I'm currently a student who is about to enter Sixth Form at the beginning of the next academic term. As a teacher, l portray myself to be very calm, considerate and patient. I have developed such a diverse skillset from being both a proud older sibling and an incredible teacher to many of my friends and relatives of whom would reinforce my words. Likewise, I'm a very friendly, caring and understanding young lady who enjoys developing new connections and supporting others to the best of my abilities! This is reflected in my style of teaching as I enjoy elaborating further on points students may not quite grasp at first glance as well as providing a fun and inclusive environment where students on feel they are able to work to their full potential without fear of judgement for whatever reason! Although I'm just entering Sixth Form, l believe that my teaching capabilities are just as elaborate and enlightening as someone of a higher qualification. As an aspiring teacher, l acquire excellent communication skills which allow students to feel comfortable in the created learning environment moreover they're more likely to thrive with a humerous and thoughtful teacher. Therefore, l hope that you entrust me to provide quality education to your child while also developing their social skills and general confidence. Thank you for reading!
